City Neighborhood Redevelopment provides
low interest/no interest loans to Westsiders
|
Based on data collected in 1999, approximately 37,000 households in El Paso County have very low, low, or moderate income. Each year, the Neighborhood
Redevelopment unit administers a program that helps approximately 200 low and moderate income homeowners make essential home repairs. The program
provides technical and financial assistance in the form of low interest loans to enable citizens to live in safe, energy efficient homes. A rehabilitation loan can be
used to add insulation, replace old furnaces, add storm windows and more. Loan rates vary from 0-3% depending on income. The Neighborhood
Redevelopment unit administers a similar program for El Paso County. County rates vary from 1-5%. To see if you qualify, call Eileen McMullen at 578-6996 or
